Keswick Hall:1960-1963 - Pam Bond
Pam writes:"I was one of Miss Gibbon's Geography students (see David Wright's article on Geography at Keswick) and we correseponded right up to her death.
When I visit Norfolk I live those field courses all over again. The Holt -Cromer Ridge, the Broadlands, the Brecks, land use etc etc etc. She was so thorough but so pleasant too. I even had her in mind when I visited New Zealand and marvelled at the Fox Glacier and Milford Sound Fiord.
I took this photo of her at the London Reunion of 1990. With her is Rev Cyster and I think the lady on the left was also a past member of staff , but before my time.

"I don't know if the tradition of Ascension Day continued to the end of the era of Keswick Hall.
In my day (1960-63) every year the College had a holiday and various excursions were arranged for the whole college. This photo was taken, I think, in the year 1961. It was the year that Coventry Cathedral opened and most of the college went on the trip to see it. However a small number, for whatever reason did not want to travel that far and chose the only other option that year--Grimes Graves in the Brecklands.
The first picture is of some of the group at Grimes Graves. From my year I can see Jean, Hilary, Chris, Di, and Josie. Mr Cunliffe and Miss Duff are in the background with their backs to us. The other picture is of Miss Duff, Rev. Cyster and Miss Norris having a cuppa on the quiet."
